I found that I didn't need the floral wire and wire cutters
in this particular arrangement-please overlook them in the picture! You will need: Clear glass container Floral foam Corsage pins Chocolate candy
of your choice Chocolate
candy that will look pretty as flower centers(I used Reese's heart shaped candies, but forgot to show them in the picture) **Tip**Don't choose candies with almonds or nuts-your wires won't go
thru them Valentine
ribbon of your choice-this arrangement used thin ribbon--color of your choice Satin material-a half a yard is enough for smaller container--color of your choice Several fabric daisies--color(s) of your choice
Step 1: Take
your flowers and pop the plastic and wire pieces out of them, so that all you have is the fabric petals.
Step 2: Cut your floral foam to fit in your glass container-make
it tall enough to stick out of the top just a little, and the width slightly smaller than the container opening.
Step 3: Cut a piece of your satin material big enough to wrap
your floral foam-the satin looks prettier if it shows, than the floral foam bare. Pin fabric to foam with corsage pins.
**You may need to sland your side pins, so they don't poke out the other side.**
Step 4: Set your
remaining piece of satin material over the opening of the vase. Push your floral foam into the middle of it, and fill
the space between the foam and outer satin with candy. **Hint-if you start by putting some of your candy in the bottom
of the vase before adding your floral foam and then add the foam, you can cover the opening, turn the container upside down
and shake a little, and it will help fill the sides and make the satin push out to the inside edges of the glass container.
Step 5: Finish filling the container with candy, fold in
the ends of the fabric and pin to the floral foam.
Step 6: Put your candy in the middle of your fabric petal, then
drive a corsage pin thru the middle.
Step 7: Pin the flower to the foam block in your container(you
have plenty of leftover pin from the corsage pin sticking out the back of the flower).
Step 8: Add several more candy-middle flowers to the
rest of the fabric covered foam, until it is full and the large bare spots are covered.
You are now finished with a very basic bouquet, pictured at the
top of the page. You can stop here, or go on to the next step(s) to add a little bit of extras, making the bouquet a
little fancier.
Step 9: Cut
your ribbon in pieces about 5" or 6" long. Loop the ends together, drive a corsage pin thru them, and reach
under the flowers to pin them to the floral foam.
You can stop at this step, and you will have the chocolate
bouquet that is pictured at the top of the page. Or you can add green leaves(I buy a leafy vine and pull the leaves
off-there is a circle where they attach to the vine. I then use the corsage pins, putting them in the middle of the
circle, and attaching them to the floral foam the same way I do the ribbon and flowers), and you will have this bouquet.
You can also choose different colors, and fold your satin
down more on the sides so that your candies peek through.
