Breakfast Ideas

These are a few breakfast ideas, if you are looking for some variety, away from cereal and pop tarts:

Grands biscuits--bake them, cut them in half, then add a fried egg, piece of cheese, a dash of pepper, and mayo or ketchup if preferred.

Cube and boil a large batch of potatoes ahead of time(I make enough to last several days).  Also cube a large piece of ham(I use the kind that comes in a "loaf" like what you see at the deli).
During the week, heat up a portion of the potatoes in a pan with butter(however much you need for the number of people you are feeding), add some ham, and in a seperate pan, fry up some eggs.  Have toast if desired.

This may sound odd, but try it!  It's delicious, and very filling!

You need:
Cinnamon raisin bagels
Eggs
American sliced cheese
Ketchup
Mayo

Toast bagel
Make a fried egg(I like mine over easy-and yes, it will drip, so you need to eat over a plate!)
Add piece of cheese to top of eggs
Add ketchup AND mayo to bagel
Put egg on bagel and make it a sandwhich

Delicious!

Get out the griddle and make a large batch of medium sized pancakes.  When each pancake is done, put on a cookie sheet.  When cookie sheet is full, stick it in the freezer for about 20 minutes.  This is called "flash freezing".  Once the pancakes are frozen, use a spatula to remove from cookie sheet, and put in freezer baggie or storage container, and put back in the freezer.

Flash freezing prevents the pancakes from sticking together and causing you to have a huge lump of bread!  During the week, take out as many as you need for a serving, stick on a plate and microwave.  Much faster, and you save time from having to wash your griddle and clean up when you make a large batch at one time.

This has become a delicious treat in my home, a favorite to hear that we are having it!  I've even served it for an early Sunday dinner after church!
You need:

Texas toast bread(I looked in all of our grocery stores and could not find Texas toast bread, so I substituted with potato bread)
Sliced ham
Muenster cheese slices
Eggs
Liquid vanilla coffee creamer

In a medium size bowl, depending on the amount you are making, you need enough eggs to cover all of the sandwiches you will be making.  I have a family of 5, so I use about 5 or 6 eggs. Add 1/2 cup vanilla creamer to your eggs and mix well.
Put a piece of sliced ham and a piece of muenster cheese in between two bread slices.
Dip in the egg/creamer mixture.
Fry in buttered pan or griddle on medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Add raspberry jam, powdered sugar, or syrup lightly over your finished sandwhich.

Serve with fried potatoes on the side.

Delicious!!!

Apple Crisp

Delicious Fruit Dip

Very Easy Brownie Pie

Want A Unique Dining Experience The Whole Family Will Enjoy?

If you would like to have a special dining experience for the whole family, let me suggest a Japanese restaurant!

My hubby and I went for my birthday with another couple, and I left after the meal with the hopes of someday being able to take my children out for this special treat as well!

Seated around a table that faces your own personal grill(each table seats around 10 people, so you may be seated with others), your chef will come after your orders are taken.  With all of your fresh foods on a cart, along with seasonings, oil and matches, the show will begin!

Our chef poured oil in the grill in the shape of a star, and then lit the oil.  The high flames were the beginning of a very enjoyable performance, while the chef made "music" with the utensils and shakers, and cooked a most delicious meal.

Some of the meal choices are steak, shrimp, chicken, fried rice and lo mein.

Take your family for this wonderful treat!  At our Japanese restaurant in Erie, Pa, they do have children's meals, which are cheaper than adult meals.  Adult meals run around $20 per plate.  Also at our Erie restaurant, if you go on your birthday, and have your license for proof, you get a discount on your meal(ours was $12 off our meal).

I can't wait to take my children!
Update~I did get a chance to take my children-I really wanted them to have the experience, and we were able to go.  It went as I expected it would-they LOVED it!!!  Once again, it's a great family experience if you are looking for a unique experience!
